WHY GOD... is life such a grind?

When God created the world he created rhythms: day and night, weeks, months, seasons. When sin entered the world so did work, and slowly that work eroded away the rhythms of life. In Egypt the Israelites were slaves (literally) to work. There is no mention of weeks, months, seasons. As soon as God rescues the Israelites he reintroduces the idea rhythm. In Exodus 16 God includes rest of those rhythms. The rhythm of God is the rhythm of rest.
